ANYSOLDIER.COM

Take a cruise through the anysoldier.com website however; I warn you, it can be addictive. Through this website, hundreds of service people have a venue where they can post requests for needed items that the military cannot supply.
Last month, through the generosity of many club members, we were able to raise enough cash to send 63 boxes to service people in the Middle East. We swarmed CostCo for $700 worth of comfort food, toiletries, batteries, socks, and sundry snack/food items.
We hit Target for another $800 for school supplies, stuffed animals, and small toys for the Iraqi kids, as well as feminine products, hand lotions, soap, T-shirts, and hair care products. Club members donated DVDs, CDs, computer games, books, magazines, even cigars.
The USPS provided free Priority Mail boxes and shipped them for $9 regardless of weight.
Take a few moments and surf anysoldier.com See if it doesn’t break your heart. Receiving mail means a lot to those young folks. Comfort stuff from home is even better.
